Genn opened Genna Rae's Wings and More in 2016 to share his passion for food and hometown cooking with the community. Originally from the Virgin Islands, he came to the United States to pursue a career as an auto mechanic. Once people began trying his fresh-cooked wings, he shifted to running his own restaurant. The restaurant permanently closed in April 2026 after a decade in the Whittier neighborhood.
